An architect by trade, with an academic career in prestigious institutes in Australia, the USA and the UK, Eugene Marchese brings to the project over 25 years of experience at the helm of Marchese & Partners, a studio specialising in the design and development of residences for the elderly, which has become, after years of great success since its foundation in 1994, one of the most accredited and prestigious in the world.

But Eugene’s experience goes beyond architecture. Eugene has promoted and led extensive research in the field of longevity, with consumers and experts, in search of best practices and proven results. This innovative approach has led him to be considered a global expert in Senior Living, both in the field of design, care and attention to residents.

As CEO and Co-Founder of Guild Living, Michael Eggington brought over 30 years of experience in the real estate sector, more than half of which in leadership roles within senior living across Australia and the United Kingdom, including with one of the industry’s leading players, Legal & General.

Throughout his career, he was directly responsible for more than 16,000 residents across 70+ senior living communities, as well as over 1,000 employees. His passion for transforming the way people age led him to speak at conferences and advise both private and governmental organisations.

Michael passed away in January 2026, yet his legacy remains fundamental in shaping and sharing Guild Living’s culture and values with the entire team dedicated to our residents. Today, it lives on in the way we create a fulfilling, rich, and truly meaningful living experience for every guest.
