Marketing Director

A marketing leader needs to believe in what our brand stands for because they’re managing a whole raft of strong opinions. Patrick has a willingness to put his opinion clearly on the table, which is a real strength. He’s a highly structured person and draws on all his experiences, as well as marketing science as a framework when deciding on the right direction. He’s really passionate about creating a meaningful brand with Guild Living and has the technical ability and energy to achieve it.

Patrick has accumulated 20 years’ experience in the hospitality industry of which the last 13 years were working in luxury hospitality marketing with Starwood Hotels & Resorts and Marriott International. He’s held various marketing and digital leadership roles and has worked with the world’s leading brands and finest hotels across the Benelux, Southern Europe and the UK.

In his last role as Director of Marketing for Marriott International, Patrick was directly responsible for the marketing strategy of 21 premium and luxury hotels in London and the UK digital marketing team. He played a leading role in demand generation, loyalty and partnership marketing initiatives leading 30+ marketing associates.

Patrick studied at Haarlem Business School and graduated with a Bachelor of Marketing before obtaining a Master’s Degree of Business Innovation at Breda University in the Netherlands. He’s a regular guest speaker at marketing events and educational institutes raising awareness for the importance of (digital) marketing in the changing commercial landscape.

Patrick brings a wealth of experience in (digital) marketing, brand management, developing guest experiences and has a strong track record in building and managing international teams and stakeholders. He’s responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of fully integrated marketing and brand strategies and activities for Guild Living.
